About Family Influence

Family influence is the relationship between two family members is a developing one, with each member of the relationship affecting the other member over time. The Pigman and Me is about the life Paul Zindel had and all the terrible things that happened to him until he had met his Pigman Nonno Frankie. Nonno Frankie had taught Paul all about the wonderful things of life. Paul's life turned completely around thanks to Nonno Frankie. The Goodness of Matt Kaizer is about a 6th grader who develops a new perspective on himself as a person. After being told his entire life to act good like his father, Matt Kaizer now struggles to find himself; he turns to be unlike his father and becomes a daredevil. Ta-Na-E-Ka is about a test of survival where participants are sent into the wilderness to survive for five days. Those three novels are all talking about family influence, and how the characters have relationships with each other. I think these three novels are all wonderful to learn and read about, and I feel like I am really lucky that I read these three novels. Every book is different, including these three novels.

All three book family members share a sense of caring and love for each other. In the novel, The Pigman and Me, show that Nonno Frankie senses Paul's unhappiness and offers help. Paul and Nonno Frankie started to become friends and eventually Nonno Frankie sort of became a dad to Paul, a dad he never had. Paul called Nonno Frankie his "pigman", which I think means he was his mentor or something. Nonno Frankie helps Paul with many things in his life, and he has told Paul how to be a better person in the future of society. Paul also shows caring and kindness to Nonno Frankie, because he thinks Nonno Frankie is the person who shows lots of caring and love to him. The Goodness of Matt Kaizer, this novel, shows that Matt's father constantly persuades Matt to be a good kid. Matt’s father is showing that he is caring and loving about his son, because he wants his son to be a good kid and great kid. If he doesn’t care or love his son, he will never constantly persuade Matt to be a good kid. Ta-Na-E-Ka shows that Mary's mom shows her own understanding of this ceremony, hence tries to comfort Mary. Mary is not feeling happy to join the ceremony, so her mom shows her own feeling and understanding about this ceremony, which wants to comfort Mary to feel better. Mary’s mom is also showing a sense of caring and love to her daughter. Love is relative, if you show love to others, then others will show their love to you as well, and same us caring.

On the other hand, the family members bring potential and positive influence to each other. In the novel, The Pigman and Me, show that no one does bully Paul since her sisters beat Moose. Paul’s sister stands out and protects Paul from bullying by other people, and his sister brings potential and positive influence to Paul and everyone. When other people know that Paul’s sister is very powerful, then there is no one going to bully Paul anymore. Paul’s sister is helping Paul to be safe and nice in the new school, so she is also telling people that don’t try to bully Paul again. The Goodness of Matt Kaizer shows that Matt learns from his mother that he should bring flowers to visit patients. Bringing flowers to visit patients is a kind of respect and courtesy, so learning about this is very important. Matt’s mother is bringing potential and positive influence to Matt, because she is teaching Matt to be a better person, which is very respectful and courtesy. Ta-Na-E-Ka shows that Mary's defence on Ta Na E Ka when talking to the restaurant owner is the subconsciousness got from the family. Mary’s family teaches or lets Mary know subconsciousness about Ta-Na-E-Ka. Her family brings potential and positive influence to her, which we can know when she is talking to the restaurant owner. She is learning something good and new from her family, so she is pretty much learning some potential and positive things from her family. Bringing potential and positive influence to each other is great for you and for other people, people like to know and learn something that is potential and positive.

In addition, the family members are using their own ways (interactions) to guard and care for each other. The novel, The Pigman and Me, shows that Nonno Frankie and Paul's sister teach face to face instead of boring talking / education. Nonno Frankie and Paul’s sister are using their own way to show guard and care for each other. They are teaching Paul face to face, which can help him to have better learning, and could be more interesting than just having a boring talking or boring education time with Paul. Sometimes you don’t think that is the way of other people using their own ways to guard and care for you, but people are different, so people showing guard and care for each other are different as well. The Goodness of Matt Kaizer shows that Matt’s father uses Matt's own way as persuasion, which is more acceptable to Matt. Matt’s father is using his own way to make Matt be a good boy, even though he doesn't really know how to do it. Matt’s father doesn't know how to make Matt feel better about what he is talking about, and how to be a good boy. But at least we know that Matt’s father is using his own way to help Matt and let Matt to understand and change into a good boy. Ta-Na-E-Ka shows that Grandpa explains the reason to memorise the old life and spirit of Kaw people, and admits the berries were terrible and he relied on the dead deer instead of grasshopper. The Grandpa is showing his own way to guard and care for each other, because he is sharing and telling Mary and his family about his old life and the spirit of Kaw people. He said that when he was admitted the berries were terrible and he relied on the dead deer instead of grasshoppers, which means Grandpa is using his own way to let his family know and try to let them to understand his mistake and try to fix it. Using your own way to guard and care for each other is very normal, because everyone is different, so the way that they are showing guard and care for each other is different as well.

In conclusion, I think these three books : The Pigman and Me, The Goodness of Matt Kaizer, and Ta-Na-E-Ka are perfect to read and learn from. These three books are all talking about family influence, which is family members sharing a sense of caring and love for each other, the family members bring potential and positive influence to each other, and  the family members are using their own ways (interactions) to guard and care for each other. The theme that I learned from these three relationship information is that love is relative, if you show love to others, then others will show their love to you as well, and same us caring. Bringing potential and positive influence to each other is great for you and for other people, people like to know and learn something that is potential and positive. Using your own way to guard and care for each other is very normal, because everyone is different, so the way that they are showing guard and care for each other is different as well. I think these three themes are very important, because I feel like it helps me now, and I think I will pretty much use these three themes in my life as well. Now, I have understood how family influences are and what they really mean in my life. Again, I really want to say that I feel really lucky that I have read these three books, because I like to read these books. I feel like I have lots of energy when I read these books, it was magical!
