About Boomtown

Everyone has heard of the famous California Gold Rush, which is the founding of gold in the California territory, people from all around the world go there to get gold. So what happens in the small villages that are close to the place? The small villages near the place where lots of people come are called Boomtown. Boomtown is where small villages and towns grow rapidly because of more and more people coming here, this also can make business opportunities for more people and earn money. In a very short time, a small village and little towns can become a Boomtown. There are advantages and disadvantages of Boomtown. It can be good for people, and bad for people too.

When small communities have more people, it makes the population there become bigger and bigger like the California Gold Rush. The California Gold Rush caused many Boomtowns because there are people and more people come to this place to get gold. Like the cities of Sacramento, Stockton, and San Francisco, they expanded from a very small village that only had a few or even less people living there into a big town with thousands and millions of people living there just overnight. There are a lot of other Boomtowns like in Shenzhen China, Basic City Virginia. In Basic City, Virginia people came for railroads and mining and small villages around became boomtown.

In my opinion, I think Boomtown is good for people. Firstly, this lets people have more job opportunities. This can make poor families earn more money and have a better life. Secondly, there are a lot of goods and people can exchange. People can get things they cannot get in the small village. Last but not least, it develops a better environment and places for poor people. Big towns means bigger houses and more food, so people can have big houses and more food. In conclusion, Boomtown can help people by getting more jobs, exchanging goods, and having better places to live. Creating a better life for people.

But there are also disadvantages of Boomtown. If there is no land, since Boomtown has a lot of people living there, there will be no space for big houses and more new things. This can make the town overcrowded, you don’t want to walk in a crowded street. An overcrowded street also makes people lose time by squeezing through crowds. There is also another disadvantage, prices of things are high because there is no land. If a poor family doesn't have enough money to buy things because it is expensive, they can’t have a better life.

Boomtown is a small village turning into a big town because people come to this place just overnight. Like the California gold rush nearby villages, Sacramento, Stockton, and San Francisco. In my opinion, Boomtown can help poor people that don’t have money, can earn more money and make a better life. Even though Boomtown has many advantages, there are also disadvantages. Like overcrowded streets and expensive prices. So Boomtown can be good for people but also has disadvantages that are bad to people..
